Our venue

Our 2023 conference takes place at the University of Suffolk Waterfront Building, in the heart of Ipswich.

The postcode of the Waterfront Building is IP4 1QJ - see map.

Main sessions will take place in the auditorium on the ground floor. Training and breakout sessions will make use of teaching rooms on the second floor. Stalls and registration will be located in the foyer.

Lifts are next to the main auditorium, adjacent to the foyer.

The venue is less than a mile from the railway station and close to town centre bus stops (including park and ride). There is car parking nearby and cycle racks outside. See our travel information page for more details.

The building opened in 2008 and was rated as ‘Excellent’ under the BREEAM system (the highest environmental rating available at the time). Sustainable features included structural concrete designed to act as a thermal battery, glazing to reduce solar gain, a heat recovery system, walls and floors designed to withstand flood damage and a sloping sedum roof (greensuffolk.org/sgbn/suffolk-case-studies/ucs/).
