Venue

Following the General Election announcement East of England Regional Conference has been postponed until Saturday 8 February 2020, from 10am until 4pm.

Anyone who has registered to attend conference will be able to attend the postponed event. Alhttps://jonwhitehouse.typeform.com/to/SqjCHtternatively you can request a refund of your registration fee.

The address of our conference venue is: Cambridge Regional College, Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge, CB4 2QT. The conference building is labelled The Park in the map below.

This is a modern building with level floors. Registration and lunch and the main conference sessions will be on the ground floor. Training and breakout sessions take place on the second floor. There is a lift and a staircase which provide access between the floors.

The college is to the north of Cambridge City Centre, just off the A14. It is a 25 minute walk or short ride on the guided bus from Cambridge North station. The guided bus also serves Cambridge station.

Doors open at 9.30am on Saturday 2 November. Conference starts at 10am and is due to finish at 4pm.

Travel by public transport

The nearest railway station is Cambridge North, a seven minute bus ride or short taxi ride from Cambridge Regional College. There is also a guided bus connection to Cambridge station (30 minutes).

Buses from Cambridge North are infrequent so you may find it more convenient to travel to Cambridge Station and catch the guided bus from there.

Cambridge North is served by direct trains from:

  • Ely, dep 0917 arr 0931
  • Norwich, dep 0740 arr 0850 or dep 0840 arr 0950
    alternatively Norwich (change at Ely), dep 0757 arr 0931

Cambridge North is also easily accessible by rail from (among other places):

  • Ipswich (change at Ely), dep 0800 arr 0931
  • Peterborough (change at Ely), dep 0819 arr 0931

Access from the A14

Exit the A14 at junction 33 signposted for Ely/Cambridge and, at the roundabout, take the exit onto the A1309/Milton Rd signposted for Cambridge City Centre. At the second junction, turn right onto Kings Hedges Road. Turn right at the traffic lights into Kings Hedges Drive. Ignore the first car park (signposted visitor parking) in front of the main reception. Follow the road round to the left and turn left into the car park signposted "The Park at Cambridge Regional College".

Access from Cambridge City Centre

From the Ring Road/Cambridge City Centre, turn onto Milton Road and travel towards the A14. Turn left onto Kings Hedges Road. Turn right at the traffic lights into Kings Hedges Drive. Ignore the first car park (signposted visitor parking) in front of the main reception. Follow the road round to the left and turn left into the car park signposted "The Park at Cambridge Regional College".

Ample car parking is available on site.
