Regional conference is our annual opportunity to hear from leading party figures, discuss policy ideas, take part in training and development and ask questions about the running of the party. Book now.

1000 Welcome to Conference and Parliamentary reports

Norman Lamb MP and Don Foster (Lord Foster of Bath) will report to members about the work of Liberal Democrats in the House of Commons and House of Lords and answer questions.

1035 Tackling the climate emergency plenary session

Hear about what Liberal Democrat-controlled councils are doing to tackle the climate emergency and contribute your own ideas in advance of the afternoon climate change policy debate.

1110 Regional party report-back or Tackling the climate emergency breakout sessions

The AGM section. Your opportunity to hear from regional officers about East of England Liberal Democrat activities. Members will be asked to vote to receive the chair's and treasurer's reports and approve the 2018 accounts, or

Attend one of three breakout sessions discussing practical actions that government, councils and individuals can take to tacke the climate emergency.

1130 Election campaign presentation or Tackling the climate emergency breakout sessions (cont.)

Learn about the party's preparations for the forthcoming likely General Election, the Police and Crime Commissioner elections, and local elections in 2020 and 2021. You have an important role to play.

Lucy Nethsingha MEP and Barbara Gibson MEP will report back on their work in the European Parliament and answer questions.

1445 Motion: Tackling the climate emergency policy debate

Debate a motion setting out measures to tackle the climate emergency, drawing on amendments based on discussion at the morning's breakout sessions.

Training sessions and fringe

Alongside the events in the main auditorium there will be a series of training sessions to help members brush up their skills, learn more about party organisation and discuss campaign techniques. The provisional programme is:
